Bangkok Adventure

Hate the idea of riding a tourist bus? Looking for a far more unique adventure in the City of Angels? You can sail, peddle and fly through the treetops in this Bangkok Adventure!

This is for those who are adventurous, enjoy the outdoors, and want to see the non-touristy side of Bangkok. You get a full day and night with a private guide to show you the Bangkok you most want to see, a full day bicycle adventure through colorful Chinatown and a nature preserve that is one of Bangkok's best kept secrets, and treetop zipline thrills as you "fly" between 24 platforms in an ancient forest. You do not have to be Gay to enjoy this Bangkok Adventure. Many of our mainstream guests choose us because they know they will get something better from a Gay tour company.

Day One: Get Acquainted with Bangkok

Welcome to the Big Mango, Thailand's City of Angels! Private transportation from the airport to your hotel. If you arrive early, drop by our office for up-to-date information about the latest things to do and see. Late arrivals may enjoy venturing out to sample the cool evening flavors to explore the city's legendary nightlife on your own.

Day Two: Bangkok By Day and By Night

Today you have one of our legendary private English-speaking Thai guides from 10:00 to 22:00 to see and enjoy what interests you most. If you want to see the most important historic and cultural sites, you should include a trip by boat on the River of Kings to visit the Grand Palace, and nearby golden Reclining Buddha at Wat Po, the architectural treasures of The National Museum, a market of magic amulet traders, or perhaps the antique home of the famous Gay silk baron Jim Thompson. Late in the day you might enjoy a bit of steam in the Hanging Gardens of one of the world's great health emporiums for men. Later, our guide introduces you to Bangkok after dark as you explore the city's legendary Gay nightlife.

Day Three: Peddle Chinatown to Samut Prakan

Today's two-wheeled adventure shows you Bangkok sights that most visitors do not expect and few get to see.

After a briefing at the starting point you can choose between mountain bikes, hybrid bikes (regular bicycles with mountain bike tires), or regular bicycles of  different sizes for the one that fits you best.

You and your bike tour leader explore a unique part of Bangkok's Chinatown. You will see a large fresh market, Chinese temple, and the daily patterns of life in one of the city's oldest neighborhoods.

After you cross the river by ferry you continue to nearby Samut Prakan, home to jackfruit and coconut orchards and plantations practically within sight of Bangkok's skyscrapers. Life is unhurried here and the landscape is lush, tropical and green. As you ride along the klongs (canals) that are still used to get from place to place you will see modern mansions side by side with traditional wooden houses on stilts, fields of rice, fish ponds and happy children waving hello.

The exact itinerary varies from guide to guide. Groups are small, with one guide leading the way and another at the rear. Small groups take different routes so they do not end up in the same places at the same time. However, it is certain that you will travel on one or more small boats as well as the city's SkyTrain elevated rail system, and enjoy a great lunch.

If a full day sounds like too much, just let us know. We can substitute a half day bike trip that covers less territory but still includes plenty of unique sights and sounds. We need to know in advance, please.

Day Four: Fly Through the Treetops

Today you might find yourself saying Me Tarzan, You James! This is your day to fly through the tree-tops of a nearby old-growth forest. Get an early start from your hotel (06.30) to rendezvous at the starting place. (If you hate the idea of getting up that early, you can do the same trip in the afernoon and enjoy the sunset over the treetops. Let us know in advance if this is your preference.)

Drive through the countryside to Chonburi, on the way to Pattya, to the edge of an old-growth forest to begin your treetop adventure. After a safety briefing at the base camp your adventure begins. Sturdy steel cables connect 24 platforms of high-flying fun! With a sturdy safety harness you "fly" effortlessly through the treetops, enjoy scenery and the sounds of the forest, and perhaps come face to face with intriguing wildlife. Later, enjoy a Thai lunch at a beautiful lake-side restaurant, then return to Bangkok early afternoon. The rest of the day is free for you to shop, enjoy a massage or do some final sightseeing on your own. You can arrange for a second nightlife guide at an extra cost if you like.

Day Five: On to the Next Adventure

Free time until your private transportation to the airport or extend your stay to discover more delights in beautiful Chiang Mai , Pattaya beach resort , Phuket Island , or even a side trip to majestic Angkor Wat , just an hour away!
