Enjoy three nights in Ho Chi Minh City to
put your finger on the pulse of this exciting and historic city, explore the
sights, sample the hard-to-find nightlife, and enjoy a day trip to the Mekong
Delta. You will have plenty of time for shopping for budget-priced local crafts,
including lacquer, silk and works of art, and taste the best of Vietnamese
cuisine. You do not have to be gay to
enjoy this package. Our mainstream guests choose us because they know they will
get something better from a gay company.
Your Vietnam adventure begins at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat airport, where our guide greets you and escorts you to your hotel. The remaining time on this day and evening are free for you to see and be seen. Cocktails on the rooftop of the Rex?
Dinner in a chic (or funky) outdoor restaurant? Saigon is yours to explore.
After an early breakfast you are out the door to enjoy the humming city with your guide. See a flurry of Saigon sights today: The History Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the War Crimes Museum. Lunch in the food court of the cavernous Ben Thanh Market. No white table linen here, but the incredible array of toothsome Vietnamese street food is a gastronomic pleasure that few tourists ordinarily experience. After lunch, wander and shop for bargains (our helpful guide will assist in good-humored negotiations). Then, it's off to Cho Lon, Ho Chi Minh City's Chinatown, crammed with fascinating temples and mysterious, narrow lanes to explore. You are free tonight to dine with a new friend or step out onto one of Saigon's jam-packed dance floors
(best Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays).
After an early breakfast, embark with your guide and drive south through rice fields and tropical forest to My Tho in the lush Mekong River Delta. Visit the Vin Trang Pagoda along the way. Take a lazy three-hour boat trip on the river, past verdant vegetation and coconut plantations. Visit a honey farm, a former VC stronghold, and a coconut candy factory (yum!). Return to Saigon on the early evening. Your night is free.
Your morning is at liberty. Later, your guide will deliver you to the airport for your departure flight, but why not extend your stay and visit nearby always-tropical Phan Thiet Beach,
the utterly charming French hill town of Dalat, Hanoi
and Halong Bay, or the ancient wonders of Hue and Hoi An!
TET Holiday 2009: We regret that we can not
accept Vietnam reservations during the period January 25 through 29 due to
the TET (Vietnamese New Year) Holiday. Since it is considered unlucky to work
during this period, practically everything closes and some prices double. We do
not recommend visiting during this time because there are no public festivities
and visitors are left with almost nothing to do.
