You can add these SCUBA diving or training options to any Purple Dragon Phuket, Samui or Krabi package. Sorry, we do not offer them separately. Plan to take your course as early in your stay as possible. You need to wait eighteen hours between diving and flying in a pressurized aircraft.
Test the Waters!
Never dive before and not sure whether or not you want to take the plunge? You can spend a day with a certified dive instructor who will show you the basics and take you on two simple dives. Companions are welcome to join, even if they do not want to get wet. Available any day, but give us plenty of notice. All necessary equipment is provided.
Learn to Dive
PADI Scuba Diver Course. You can become a PADI certified diver with two days of instruction and self-study. First day dives are in a swimming pool, followed by two open-water dives on the second day. After completing this course you can dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters and you must always dive with a PADI professional staff member. Includes equipment use, PADI Diver Manual, boat transportation on the second day.
PADI Open Water Certification. This course is a continuation of the one above and by far the most popular program and lasts four days. It can be completed in three days. You will be certified to dive initially to 18 meters, and later to 30 meters after you are more experienced. Can also dive without a PADI professional as long as you have another dive buddy with you.
Advanced Dive ProgramIf you already have Open Water certification you can upgrade to Advanced Open Water. In either case the course is five dives over a period of two days. This option includes one night live-aboard, meals, equipment use and instructor.
Day Trips
If you are already a PADI-certified diver the opportunities around Samui, Krabi and Phuket are practically endless. We will gladly make suggestions based on time available. In general, day trips including equipment use, boat, lunch and local dive guide cost from $95 to $115 (depending on distance) for two dives in one day. You can dive up to six times in one day. Night dives are also available.
Live-Aboard Trips
Small group live-aboard trips are available throughout the year. These are usually one-time trips. Let us know when you plan to visit and we will tell you what is available.
